NDP deserves to form the next federal government

If you're one of the many who believes in what the NDP stands up for and yet end up voting for the Liberals because you were preached that "a vote for NDP is a vote wasted," or that "the only way to get rid of the Conservatives and Harper is to vote for the Liberals," then you should read on. See if this will make you think twice about parking your vote with the Liberals this time.

The very latest poll that came out, that shows that support for the NDP has dwindled and support for the Liberals has gone up by roughly the same amount, reinforces all the points that have been made in the "Time for an Orange Revolution" thread: Liberals and the pollsters work hand in hand.

People should always vote their conscience.

When deciding whom to vote for, should conscientous voters also not consider whether the leaders themselves are conscientous? The way in which Ignatieff dethroned and backstabbed Dion and stole the Liberal Leadership race does not demonstrate a quality that is required of someone worthy of our votes.

That's not all. All qualities displayed by Ignatieff confirm him to be more aligned with the Conservatives than what most Canadians desire. His stance on the environment, war, social issues and foreign policy is more in tune with Harper. If Canadians demand change it will certainly not come from Ignatieff.

On the other hand, we all know what Jack Layton stands for. We have seen him for years and many have even voted for him and worked with him while he was with the Toronto City Council. The key terms here are know him and his work. Unfortunately, we cannot say the same for Ignatieff (apart from his back stabbing of Mr Dion).

The Liberals and the Conservatives have both had their chances and Canadians have been taken for granted many times.

I think it's time all Canadians gave NDP a chance atleast with a minority government.
